Show sponsor at Newby Hall

Event took place 22/07/18

A show sponsor at this year’s popular Aldborough and Boroughbridge Agricultural Show, Kettlewell Fuels’ banners brightened up the show jumping and main arenas.

Recently held at the splendid Newby Hall in beautiful sunshine, the show, in it’s 105thyear, was action packed from start to finish. A breath-taking Knights of the North jousting show kept the crowds entertained as did a display by the 6 Regiment Royal Logistics Corps, the Hornbeam Molly Dancers and a vintage vehicle parade.

Well attended, with many different classes taking place, the horse and pony events were held a short distance from the main arena - the Kettlewell Fuels show jumping banners featuring here too.

There were plenty more livestock appearances including a cattle parade, heavy horses, terrier racing and donkey classes. The Claro Beagles also paid a visit.

A successful Tug of War competition held in the afternoon, in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, was a real nail biter and people were busy milling around the craft tent, browsing the trade stands, enjoying delicious afternoon teas served in the catering tent and much more.

Commenting on the successful show, Janet Kettlewell said: “It’s a great local event and one that we wholeheartedly support. The organisers always make it a successful and memorable day for visitors – it really is a lot of fun.”
