Boilers

My oil central heating boiler is approaching the end of its life – what should I do?

Are you considering getting a new heating oil boiler?

We are here to offer guidance and support in selecting the right one for you or exploring other fuel options. Feel free to ask us any questions you may have.

Cleaner and greener choices include LPG, as well as electricity and renewable solutions such as solar panels and biomass boilers. There are pros and cons to each. LPG is cleaner burning than domestic heating oil and is usually compatible with your existing heating system, meaning there is no need to change radiators or pipework.

Electricity is available almost anywhere in the UK, and whilst sometimes more expensive than home heating oil or LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), there is a range of electric heating choices that can be easily and cheaply installed.

Of course, there are renewable solutions which are good for the environment and produce little or no emissions.

The Government is looking to phase out high-carbon fossil fuel heating and ban fossil fuel boilers in 2035, so when the time comes, you may want to consider changing to a more environmentally friendly fuel. Stay informed about the Future Ready Fuel campaign.

You can contact your local OFTEC technician to find out more about your oil boiler options. Or you can call us on 01765 640682 to discuss the options available or email us at sales@kettlewellfuels.co.uk
