Kettlewell Fuels Continues Support for Local Cricket as Headline Sponsor of Nidderdale Junior Cricket League
We are proud to announce our continued support for the local community by serving as the headline sponsor of the Nidderdale Junior Cricket League. This initiative aims to nurture young talent and encourage participation in the sport across the region.
As a longstanding supporter of community initiatives, we recognise the importance of youth engagement in sports. The Nidderdale Junior Cricket League provides a vital platform for young cricketers to develop their skills, teamwork and passion for the game in a supportive environment.
The Nidderdale Junior Cricket League is one of the oldest and largest village cricket leagues in the country.
For the 2025 season, the league has expanded to include 29 clubs, featuring 16 girls’ teams in the under-11, under-13, and under-15 age groups.
Several notable cricketers have emerged from this league, including England Test player Jonny Bairstow and Yorkshire players Ben Coad, Jonny Tattersall, Finlay Bean, and Karl Carver. Other distinguished former juniors include Ed Barnes, who played for Yorkshire 2nds before moving on to play for Leicestershire; Melissa Reynard, a member of the England Women’s cricket team from 1990 to 2006; and James Botham, who represented the junior league in cricket and is now a Welsh Rugby International.
